Exercise to Wellness

Lady on treadmill This program is for cancer patients who have completed their cancer treatment and wish to begin the healing process through exercise. Charting Your Course

A one-session program provides information about social work services and programs and an overview of financial issues to newly diagnosed patients and their families. For questions or to register please call Meg Lemire-Berthel, MSW at 978-937-6142.

This program will be presented in September and March.

Getting Beyond Cancer

A general patient/family support group – this group offers support, education, and resource planning. Support persons encouraged to attend. For questions or to register please call Sandy Mansur, LICSW of Merrimack Valley Hospice at 978-420-7253.

Meets the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm in D'Youville Center for Advanced Therapy chapel, located at 1071 Varnum Avenue in Lowell.

Look Good... Feel Better

A program sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS) which helps women who are currently being treated learn to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control of their lives. Living With Breast and GYN Cancer

A support group offering education, and resources for women with Breast or Gynecological Cancers. Support persons are also encouraged to attend. "US TOO" Prostate Cancer Support Group

Survivorship Day

Each year the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital is honored to gather cancer survivors for a celebration of Survivorship. This day, held in late spring, is a way to come together to applaud the journey every patient, past and present, is traveling. It is an uplifting day, filled with music, sharing, inspiration, and hope. We hope that you will join us for our next celebration of survivorship.

Sharing warmth and wishes for wellness with knit caps

A special group of women in the community have been knitting caps for patients at the cancer center at Lowell General Hospital for many years. The hats are offered in the waiting area of the Cancer Center's Radiation Oncology unit, so that those who may be preparing for the resulting loss of hair that comes with some treatment can have a soft cover for their head. Each one is unique and is provided free of charge.
