Services We Offer

Palliative Care is appropriate at any age and at any stage of a serious illness. It can be provided along with curative treatment. The team-based approach focuses on caring for the patient as a whole person, seeking to lessen pain levels, stress and other concerns that the patient and family might have.

We cater to a wide variety of chronic life-limiting, disabling medical conditions, including but not limited to advanced cancer, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory conditions, HIV, advanced dementia and neurological problems.

The palliative care team helps the patient and family members navigate the care plan, discuss and identify goals of care and coordinate the patient’s care across the continuum.

Our multidisciplinary team will:

  • Provide relief from pain and other distressing symptoms.
  • Affirm life and view dying as a normal process, intending neither to hasten nor postpone death.
  • Integrate the psychological and spiritual aspects of patient care with patient and family-centered support.
  • Offer a support system to help patients living with chronic debilitating illnesses.
  • Use a team approach to address the needs of patients and their families.
  • Enhance the quality of the patient’s life and strive to positively influence the course of illness, in conjunction with other therapies that are intended to prolong life, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
  • Work with Hospice Services if desired to coordinate care that is supportive and patient-centered
