The Cancer Center
Welcome
The staff at the Cancer Center would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and answer your questions during your course of treatment. We are fortunate to have a full range of professionals who will help make your visit(s) to The Cancer Center as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
The range of services provided by The Cancer Center includes Hematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. We also offer clinical trials through nationally recognized study groups. We are also pleased to offer site specific Multidisciplinary Clinics for many disease sites. You will be referred by your primary care physician or surgeon if this clinic setting is right for you. Your doctor will discuss the Multidisciplinary Clinic in detail with you.
The Cancer Center is recognized and accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS) as a Comprehensive Community Hospital Cancer Program. The Lowell General Hospital Cancer Program has earned commendation from ACoS for the high level of care and expertise demonstrated by The Cancer Center Team.
The Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital is also accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR is a national organization that awards accreditation to facilities for their achievement of high practice standards. The Cancer Center is one of a handful of hospitals in the entire state to be recognized by this accreditation in Radiation Oncology.
