A Message to our Mammography Patients

On June 22, 2015, Lowell General Hospital became aware of an inadvertent Mail Room error involving Mammography appointment letters, which resulted in some patients receiving two reminders: their own and another patient’s. Though the letters contain limited health information, they do not contain any Social Security numbers or financial information. The incident was immediately reported to our internal Privacy Officer.
