Lowell General Hospital Announces Senior Leadership Team Appointments
Lowell General Hospital recently announced the appointment for four of the hospital's leaders to new positions on the organization's senior management team. Lowell General President and Chief Executive Officer Normand Deschene praised the leaders for their vision and commitment to helping steer the hospital during a transformational time for the hospital and healthcare in the region.
"As we build the new Lowell General Hospital, it is vitally important that we enhance the leadership team that is charged with inspiring and guiding us as we pursue our vision of being one of the best community hospitals in America," said Deschene.
The new appointments are:
Michelle Davis, RN, MS serves as Vice President of External Affairs to provide leadership to the hospital's Marketing and Public Relations, Community Health and Wellness, Service Culture, Philanthropy, Special Projects, and the Greater Lowell Health Alliance. Davis brings over 13 years of community health, healthcare marketing and community relations experience to her new role, most recently serving as Lowell General's Director of Marketing Operations and Community Development, Director of Legacy Project Transition, and interim Executive Director of the Greater Lowell Health Alliance. She is a Board Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives of Massachusetts.
Karen McArdle, RN, MPH serves as Vice President of Physician Services. McArdle brings over 25 years of extensive experience in medical staff relations and physician engagement to this vital role, in which she will assume expanded responsibilities for combining the hospital's medical staffs and expanding Circle Health Physicians. She most recently served as Executive Director of Lowell General Hospital Medical Group and Physician Services. McArdle is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American College of Healthcare Executives of Massachusetts and the Medical Group Management Association.
Helene Thibodeau, MSN, RN, NEA-BC serves as the Vice President of Outpatient Services and plays a critical role in assessing the hospital's outpatient locations and services and determining an integration strategy that positions these locations for growth. Thibodeau brings over 30 years of experience at Saints Medical Center to her new role, and most recently served as the interim Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety. She is a Board Member for Women Working Wonders Fund, Executive Leadership Committee, American Heart Association-Go Red 2012 and Organization of Nurse Leaders.
William Wyman, MS, FACHE, FHFMA, CHC serves as Vice President of Revenue Services overseeing the management of the hospital's Patient Service Center, Admitting, Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management, Patient Accounts, Decision Support and Compliance. Wyman brings nearly two decades of revenue cycle and information technology experience at Lowell General to his new role, most recently serving as the hospital's Director of Revenue Cycle for the past four years. Mr. Wyman holds fellowships with the American College of Health Care Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He serves as Vice President of the Massachusetts Association of Healthcare Access Management, and is also a member of many professional healthcare organizations, including the National Association of Healthcare Access Management and the Healthcare Compliance Association and the Applied Research and Ethics National Association.
"I have every confidence our team will succeed in taking Lowell General Hospital to the next level in creating a truly integrated healthcare system for the Greater Lowell community," Deschene said.
