• Four new units Opening in Dahod Building through October 31st

The historic Legacy Project is nearing its final stages, and the new six-story Dahod Building will enhance our ability to deliver the highest quality, personalized care. Lowell General Hospital is adding private rooms, state-of-the-art surgical suites, and one of the region's most modern emergency departments and trauma centers. On Monday, September 17th, Lowell General opened its first patient floor, Dahod 3, a 30-bed medical surgical unit with all private rooms and amenities promote a more individualized healing environment .

Our new Surgical Day Care Unit, located on the Lower Level, opened on Monday, October 1st. Previously known as the Ambulatory Care Unit, Lowell General Hospital's new Surgical Day Care Unit will now be located adjacent to the new Operating Suites and existing Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the lower level. The unit, named after longtime hospital supporters John Thibault and Elaine Zouzas Thibault, will offer 26 private bays to provide more privacy for patients undergoing day surgery procedures. Three new operating suites, scheduled to open in early November, will be directly connected to the existing surgical unit. These three new suites will bring the total number of operating rooms to 13 at the hospital's Main Campus and will better accommodate surgeons and their patients.
