Staff Supported

These groups are facilitated by a professional staff member. We meet once a month, on the third Tuesday at 5:30pm, to discuss issues related to life after surgery. You are welcome to attend if you are a patient, whether or not you've had surgery yet.

This is an informative, supportive, and interactive meeting. There is time allotted to answer questions, however the group has a specific focus each month. Some past topics include: Recipe Makeovers, Every Day Speed Bumps, Mindful Eating, Holiday Eating, I Have Had Enough of This, and Plastic Surgery. NOTE: Topics subject to change at the facilitator's discretion.

Come learn, share, support yourself and others!

These groups meet in the main classroom of the Center for Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery at Lowell General Hospital's Chelmsford Campus, which is located at 20 Research Place, Suite 110, in North Chelmsford, MA.

These groups are not required, but patients who experience long-term success usually list attending support groups as a main reason for their success.

Wellforce is a health system that is rethinking how academic and community centers, local and national businesses, and technology and service innovators can all work together. So that clinicians can deliver expert care where it's needed most. And so that we can bring wellness back to health care, one person at a time.
