Gentle/Moderate Yoga

No experience required

These gentle/moderate classes are great whether you are new to yoga or need to re-connect in a supportive and welcoming environment where each person will receive benefit within a basic yoga practice.

The class is designed to create breath awareness, enhance your balance, increase flexibility, and bring about inner peace. Classes include basic breathing practices as well as a variety of standing, sitting, and lying postures. There is a focus on both flexibility and strength. Our instructors provide each individual with a high level of instruction and are able to make suggestions on ways to make movement less or more challenging.

Tuesdays, from 5:00-6:00pm in the 1st Floor Conference Room at Lowell General Hospital's Saints Campus

  • May 17th- July 5th (*No class on June 21st)

Wednesdays, from 5:00-6:00pm in the 1st Floor Conference Room at Lowell General Hospital's Saints Campus

About the Presenter

Ellen Moschetto, has been a Registered Yoga Instructor for more than 5 years, and received yoga training in both Mexico and the United States. Currently residing in Haverhill, Ellen Moschetto is eager to bring the physical and spiritual benefits of yoga to a growing number of people who show interest in this 5000 year old practice. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced pretzel, yoga can bring strength and flexibility to your body and peace and focus to your mind. Ellen is available for private, semi-private and group yoga lessons; for more information email her.

Daphna Bourdelais, has been working in health clubs since she was a teenager and began doing yoga about 15 years ago. Finally she decided to plunge deeper into the meaning of all this yoga! She completed her 200-hour teacher training, and completed her studies with Deepak Chopra with Journey Into Healing—an Ayurvedic way of life. She is a registered esthetician and reiki practitioner. Daphna works at the Stonehedge Inn and Spa in Tyngsboro, MA. She has 3 awesome teenagers and loves devoting her time to them. You can find her hiking or skiing with her kids and maybe even striking a pose at the top of the mountains.
