TeamWalk for CancerCare
The 11th Annual Event!
Breaking all-time records, the 11th Annual TeamWalk for CancerCare hosted by Lowell General Hospital on May 16 collected $716,450 to provide services and support for local cancer patients and their families. The Merrimack Valley's largest single-day fundraising event brought more than 5,000 walkers, volunteers, and supporters to walk the 3- or 6.2-mile route through historic downtown Lowell and its river ways.
This year's event welcomed master of ceremonies and honorary chair "VB" from Fox 25 Morning News, and honorary chair Mrs. Massachusetts, Jane Marshall who lead the walkers on the 6-mile course.

TeamWalk for CancerCare is a community event. The funds raised by TeamWalk assist the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center in fulfilling its mission to provide compassionate and individualized care to our cancer patients.
Dollars raised provide a real benefit to cancer patients here in the Lowell area. Donations have a direct influence in ensuring that The Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center meets and exceeds expectations in providing the highest quality of patient care. What draws everyone together on TeamWalk day may be different, but the purpose is the same. These walkers are participating in improving the quality of life for LGH cancer patients and their families in the Greater Lowell area. They are assisting The Cancer Center in providing the highest level of care regardless of financial and insurance constraints. From medication and supplies for patients to counseling for cancer survivors, everything that makes The Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital one of the best cancer centers in the area is supported by funds raised through events like TeamWalk.
