Our Team
Oncology Social WorkersToday's cancer treatment requires the combined expertise of a number of cancer specialists and other health professionals working together on your behalf.
To ensure that all your physical, emotional, social, spiritual and cultural needs are met, and to coordinate your care, The Cancer Center uses a multidisciplinary approach. Our team of highly trained health professionals possess an extensive background in caring for people with cancer.
Our team includes:
- Our Physicians: Board-certified medical and radiation oncologists
- Our Nurse Practitioners
- Registered Nurses certified in oncology nursing
- An Oncology Nurse Educator
- A Breast Health Navigator
- Oncology Social Workers/Case Manager
- Radiation therapy staff with certified Radiation Therapists
- Medical Physicists and others
The clinical team is supported by our knowledgeable support staff, including volunteers who are sensitive to the needs of cancer patients and their family members.
Members of our team communicate regularly with your primary care doctor. We encourage your doctor to play a key role in your care during and following treatment.
