Wellness Programs/Support Services

At The Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital, we understand that cancer touches virtually every aspect of your life, as well as the lives of all family members. With that in mind, we have a variety of services to assist you and your family including our Mind/Body Medicine Program and Support Services.

Oncology Social Workers

Our Oncology Social Workers can provide you and your family with crisis intervention, grief counseling, and referrals to community mental health services if needed. They are available to help with job-related concerns, including matters regarding worker's rights; insurance matters; and arrangements for home-health equipment, transportation, or hospice care. Please call 978-937-6800 and ask to speak with either Meg Lemire or Cammie Caron.

Support Services

We offer a variety of support groups to help you and your family members cope and learn from the experiences of others. Lowell General Hospital offers the area's only support groups helping children and teens deal with a loved one's cancer. Support groups are free unless otherwise noted and most support groups are held at The Cancer Center. Registration is required for many groups. Please see contact information.
