Pick Up Films

Films may be picked up at Lowell General Hospital seven days a week.

How to Request Films

Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Your date of birth
  • Date the exam was done
  • Type of exam your are requesting
  • Body part (if you have had more than one test)
  • Preference for pick-up location: Health Information (Medical Records) if you will be picking them up more than 24 hours after the request or Radiology Department
  • Name of the doctor you are bringing the films/CD to

Hours for Pick-Up

  • Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 8:00 pm
  • Saturdays 7:30 am - 4 pm
  • Sundays 7:30 am - 3 pm

What to Bring for Pick-Up

To take your films you must:

  • Present a photo ID (driver's license, passport, or other state or federal-issued identification)
  • If you are having someone pick up the films for you, send a note stating you are releasing your medical records to the person picking them up for you.
  • You can also fax in any request in writing to: 978-937-6708 with all the information that's needed as listed above.

Where to Get Your Films

Radiology/X-Ray Department

Films are available for immediate pick-up at the reception desk in the X-Ray/Radiology Department. This is located on the Ground Floor of the Hanchett Building.

Health Information Department

If you make a request for films with more than 24 hours notice, you may pick them up at the Health Information Department located near the front entrance of the hospital. When you arrive to the main lobby, take a right after the reception desk, pass the Patient Service Center, Health Information is the next door on your right.
