• Lowell General Hospital Vice President Winfield Brown Earns Top Healthcare Management Credential

Lowell, MA - Winfield Brown, MS, MHA, FACHE, Vice President of Administration at Lowell General Hospital, recently advanced to Fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives, known for its prestigious credentialing and educational programs.

ACHE, whose membership includes administrators from some of the country's leading hospitals, healthcare systems and health organizations recognized Brown during the Convocation Ceremony on March 26, 2006, held during the organizations annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership, which draws more than 4,000 participants each year. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE. In fact, only 3,300 healthcare executives hold this distinction.

"At a time when corporate responsibility is challenged daily, our communities can believe in healthcare leaders who have earned the prestigious FACHE® credential."

To obtain Fellow status, candidates must demonstrate their education, experience, and leadership in the healthcare field for several years. They must also complete a thesis on a healthcare management topic.
