Volunteers with a Vision for Healthcare Excellence

Auxiliary logo Since its inception in 1951, the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary has actively worked to promote and to advance the welfare of Lowell General Hospital through ways approved by the Governing Board of the hospital. Through a variety of events and activities, the Auxiliary provides its members, the hospital and the community at large with the opportunity to enjoy elegant social events, purchase unique items and engage in educational healthcare programs while providing important financial support for the hospital. From 1951-2009, the Auxiliary has donated over $3.1 million to Lowell General Hospital.

Annual contributions made by the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary are either designated for a special purpose or used by the hospital as most needed. In 2009, the Auxiliary embarked on an ambitious pledge of donating $750,000 for the Legacy Fund of LGH. The goal is to meet this milestone, for the hospital's most significant capital investment in history, over the next several years. The Auxiliary has chosen to support this effort which will enhance healthcare for generations to come.

Membership

Membership in the Lowell General Hospital Auxiliary is open to the entire community. Annual membership is $20 for an individual and $25 for a family. A Lifetime membership is $250. Our members receive the Auxiliary newsletter and invitations to our special events and annual meeting. The members help support our fundraising efforts by volunteering at events, providing delicious treats for our bake sales, donating items for the Auxiliary's Taste of the Town Raffle Basket and attending our events.

Gift Shop

The Gift Shop in the hospital main lobby is owned and managed by the Auxiliary. It has everything from gum and magazines to flowers and baby gifts. The Gift Shop offers special events such as the Holiday Fair and Vera Bradley.
