Become a Volunteer
We welcome you to join us in helping to serve our patients, their loved ones and the professional staff who care for them. Being a volunteer at Lowell General is a commitment but one that is met with many rewards.
People choose to volunteer for many reasons but the benefits you may find include an opportunity to:

How to Get Started
Senior Volunteers - Volunteers eighteen years or older
- Schedule an interview with the Manager of Volunteer Services by calling 978-937-6280.
- Download and complete the "Senior Volunteer Application". Bring this with you on your interview.
- Once approved, you will attend a hospital orientation and volunteer training.
Student Volunteers - Volunteers fourteen years an older
- Call the Volunteer Office at 978-937-6280 to inquire about or to register for an upcoming student orientation. Space is limited due to the high volume of interested students.
- Download and complete the "Student Volunteer Application" and bring it with you to your orientation.
Auxiliary Volunteers
Contact the Volunteer Office at 978-937-6280 for a membership form for the Auxiliary. They will also connect you to the Membership Committee of the LGH Auxiliary for more information.
We welcome your questions about volunteering at Lowell General Hospital. You may reach us by phone at 978-937-6280. The Volunteer Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If no one is available, please leave a message and we will return your call.
