Winfield S. Brown
Vice President of Administration
Winfield Brown serves as Vice President of Administration. He is responsible for Strategic Planning and Research, Marketing and Public Relations, Philanthropy, LGH Physician Hospital Organization, Facilities, Support and Environmental Services, Government and Community Relations, Real Estate, Community Health & Wellness, and Volunteer/Concierge programs.
Prior to joining Lowell General, he served as Vice President of Planning, Marketing and Development at Northern Berkshire Healthcare. He began his healthcare career at St. Mary's Health System in Lewiston, Maine. At St. Mary's, Brown served as a Vice President and the Executive Director of its Foundation, where he was responsible for philanthropy, volunteer services and several mission-based community programs.
Mr. Brown earned his undergraduate degree in Economics at Bates College and a Masters in Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He also holds an M.S. in Business from Husson College.
Mr. Brown is President of the Health Care Management Association of Massachusetts and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is also a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. Brown holds leadership roles in the local community serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell and serving on the board of d'Youville Senior Care.
