Peter J. Zarrilla, MS, M.Ed.

Peter Zarilla

Peter J. Zarrilla joined Lowell General Hospital in 2001. Prior to joining the Lowell General team, Peter served as Senior Human Resources Consultant at Private Health Care Systems in Waltham, Mass. For more than 20 years, he had held human resource management positions in the Boston-area high-tech and service-related organizations.

His role at Lowell General includes continuously improving staffing effectiveness, developing initiatives and programs that meet the needs of Lowell General's present and potential employees, and positioning the hospital as an employer of choice in the region.

Mr. Zarrilla is a member of the VHA’s Northeast Strategic Advisory Council and the Massachusetts Hospital Association. He serves on the Boards of Directors of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lowell, the Lowell Telecommunications Corporation, House of Hope, and the Massachusetts Hospital Association Insurance Corp.

Zarrilla holds an M.Ed in Counseling from Westfield State College, Westfield MA, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from American International College, Springfield, MA and a B.S. in Zoology/Psychology from The University of New Hampshire, Durham NH.
