Elizabeth Cunningham, RN"Betsy arrives to her shift each day with a positive attitude, kind manner and highly professional nursing practice." This how co-workers describe February's Star Performer of the Month, Betsy Cunningham.

Betsy has been working as a registered nurse at the Lowell General Hospital Saints campus for over 18 years. She began her career on 4E, and moved into Fast Track. She has been in the Emergency Department for the past 10 years and currently works per diem in a triage or charge nurse role. Betsy is a true team player, and is willing to work any shift necessary to help her department. In December, she played a key role during the opening of new Emergency Department at the main campus by taking on additional shifts to ensure that we delivered our promise of Complete connected careSM to our patients.

"Betsy has a very kind and gentle way about her," says Tracie McPadden, RN, MSN, CEN, CPEN, Director of Emergency Services, Saints campus. "She is professional with co-workers and truly cares about her patients and their well-being. She always takes time to comfort her patients, even in a hectic environment like an emergency department."

Betsy lives in Windham, NH. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her family. Her two kids keep the family on the go throughout the year with their hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics and football schedules.
