Debhinn Watts

Volunteer and Concierge Services, Main Campus

"Debhinn is the kind of person who gives 110% of herself. She is an extremely kind and caring person. No matter how busy she is she makes time to help anyone who needs it, she's what we call a 'shining star'." This is how Michelle Mascari describes August Star Performer of the Month, Debhinn Watts. "The volunteers all love her and the other twenty plus employees in our department love her. If any one employee is an example of what the standards of performance represents it is Debhinn Watts."

Debhinn has worked at Lowell General Hospital for five years. She first started working as an intern in Philanthropy where she then moved on to becoming an assistant in the Volunteer Services Department. Shortly after, she became Manager of our Volunteer/Concierge Services. In her current role she manages a group of over 500 volunteers while continuing to develop and implement new volunteer programs based on the needs of the hospital and staff. Debhinn is known by her coworkers as being caring, positive, ambitious and funny. These qualities have helped transform a great department into an even better department.

Debhinn has excelled in her field of Volunteer Management by being elected by her peers to the Board of Directors of both the Massachusetts and the New England Associates of Healthcare Volunteer Services this year. One of the programs that Debhinn started is the Emergency Department Concierge program that works closely with the colleges and universities in the community to bring in the best of the pre-med students. These volunteers have an integral impact on a busy Emergency Department and they assist in any way possible. This is only one example of how Debhinn embodies Complete connected careSM in everything she does here at Lowell General Hospital.

Debhinn lives in Nashua, NH and enjoys traveling, running, gardening and refinishing furniture with her husband Michael.

Congratulations Debhinn! You're a Star!
