Heidi Cooke

Emergency Department

Heidi Cooke"Heidi sets out to exceed everyone's expectations, holding herself accountable for making a personal and positive impact on every patient's experience. This above and beyond attitude is how co-workers describe our November Star Performer of the Month, Heidi Cooke.

Ten years ago, Heidi started working at Lowell General in the MS3 unit. After five years, she transferred to the Emergency Department as a technician. This new role has been a perfect fit for Heidi's high energy personality and motivation to help and care for people. Brendan Riley, Manager of the Security Department says, "Heidi maintains a 'can do' attitude for every task and any challenge. No matter how busy it gets in the ED, she is always smiling and helping lift the spirits of patients and co-workers alike."

Heidi has a positive demeanor that shines through when she cares for her patients. Diane Regan, BSN, RN, CEN, Director of Emergency Services at the main campus, commends Heidi for "taking extra time to make sure her patients' needs are being met. She always treats patients and their family members with kindness and compassion. It is clear to see how much Heidi cares for all her patients."

Heidi lives in Dracut with her husband Tom. They have two children, Kayla and Craig. Since college, Heidi has had a strong interest in American Sign Language (ASL) and took the initiative to learn the language. She continues to learn as much as she can and would love to take a certified interpreter course in the future.

Congratulations Heidi! You're a Star!
