Scott Fisher"A stand-up employee and a frequent flier on our "Kudos" board," is how co-workers describe Scott Fisher, our January Star Performer of the Month.

Scott began his career at LGH six years ago in the cafeteria, and most recently has been an integral member of the Materials Management team. As Receiver, Scott is responsible for logging and processing all hospital deliveries, helping to organize stock in General Stores, and coordinating any shipping issues with Purchasing. Since taking on this role, he has streamlined several processes to help communicate with all departments, and ensure orders are delivered in a timely fashion.

"Scott is always willing to learn something new," says Brian Horman, Manager, Materials Management. "He has superior time management skills, and is dependable, honest, appreciative, and most of all, hard-working. He meets all the criteria of what a Star Performer should be."

Scott takes pride in every aspect of his job, and always tries to come up with ideas to better his department and to build better relationships with co-workers. He never misses a chance to thank a fellow employee for help or throw "kudos" their way.

"Scott has been a tremendous help to our department as we often have time-sensitive orders coming in that are needed right away for events or promotions," says Kim Weaver of Marketing and Public Relations. "He always takes the time to contact us right away. He is so fast and efficient; sometimes I think there are wings built into his cart."

Scott lives in Lowell, and in his spare time likes to write, play pool, play basketball and watch the Celtics. He likes spending time with friends and family, especially with his little niece.
