Wall of Nursing

When you walk through the halls of Lowell General Hospital, you'll undoubtedly notice our Wall of Nursing, where we formally recognize the Nurses at Lowell General who go above and beyond in their professional devotion. Twice a year, a Director or Manager will recognize someone for the Wall of Nursing and write a personal quote about why they think that individual is worthy of the honor. It's a special way for us to appreciate the Nurses at Lowell General who make a difference every day!

2009 Wall of Nursing Photos of nine patient care team members who exemplify the standards of performance are displayed together along a wall in a main corridor located outside the Nursing Administration offices. This very visible location is dedicated to publicly acknowledge the contribution of nurses and the pride Lowell General has in them.

RN - Emergency Department

"Lauri has a very professional and warm bedside manner, exceptional clinical skills and has been nationally recognized as having achieved Certification in Emergency Nursing. She has worked diligently over the last three years in the role of Chairperson to the ED's Unit-based Council. Within the Council, Lauri has fostered a collaborative spirit that has led to quality improvements spearheaded by the experts in patient care - the staff nurses."

RN, Bariatric Service Leader - Operating Room

"Yvette has been instrumental with the start and continued success of the Bariatric surgical program. Yvette prioritizes her patient's care; works well with fellow staff members and is well liked and respected by surgeons. Yvette can always be relied upon to achieve the best possible results. She is also a member of the Recruitment and Retention Committee and works night at the House of Hope and has provided her guidance to many young women."

Nursing Appreciation Teas

Held twice a year, these "teas" are much more than just respite from hectic nursing schedules to enjoy refreshments. Combined with the unveiling of the Wall of Nursing recipient photos, this is a great opportunity to relax and laugh with colleagues.
