The staff at the Cancer Center would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and answer your questions during your course of treatment. We are fortunate to have a full range of professionals who will help make your visit(s) to The Cancer Center as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

Lowell General Hospital collaborates with the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center to bring world class treatment to our patients. With affiliations for clinical research trials, multidisciplinary conferences and access to some of the world's best cancer specialists, our patients can receive the care they need without having to leave the community.

CoC logo The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted a three-year Approval with Commendation as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program to the Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital. Additionally, the CoC has awarded Lowell General Hospital its Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) which is designed to recognize cancer programs that strive for excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients. The Cancer Center at Lowell General Hospital is also accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR is a national organization that awards accreditation to facilities for their achievement of high practice standards. The Cancer Center is one of a handful of hospitals in the entire state to be recognized by this accreditation in Radiation Oncology.

The range of services provided by The Cancer Center includes Hematology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology. We also offer clinical trials through nationally recognized study groups. We are also pleased to offer site specific Multidisciplinary Clinics for many disease sites. You will be referred by your primary care physician or surgeon if this clinic setting is right for you. Your doctor will discuss the Multidisciplinary Clinic in detail with you.
